Noriyuki Sakamoto, Japan Rugby Football Union Chairman said: “It is with great pleasure that two Pacific Nations Cup 2019 matches will be held in Japan, just two months before Rugby World Cup 2019 commences. We look forward to welcoming Fiji and Tonga to the match venues of Rugby World Cup 2019, Kamaishi Recovery Memorial Stadium in Iwate and the Hanazono Rugby Stadium in Osaka, respectively.”

Japan has also declared its squad for Pacific Nations Cup and upcoming Rugby World Cup 2019. The squad that consists of 42 member wide team has many variants in terms of playing style as well as age. And the choice for the final squad would only be on the basis of making a strong team that can bring the victory to the nation in the much loved game world over.

We can a player like Thompson who if selected will be in the play for his fourth Rugby World Cup whereas there are also young players with less world cup exposure but are to be tested basis the sport talent that they possess and final decision rest with the deciding committee. We need to wait and watch for the final entry and exit of players so as to look at the whole team Japan that will participate in the event.

Japan Rugby Union has also also launched Rugby Masturi Project which will see game themed events across nation to celebrate the sport. This will include different events that will see a mix of the game along with cultural events that will motivate the ultimate spirit of the Rugby game.
